Miki Kaname
Ceramic artist based in Kawagana, Japan. 
 
Miki Kaname graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts (Ceramics Studies) in 2007; and completed Graduate School of Ceramics Studies in the same university in 2009. She works as an independent ceramist at her own atelier in Yokohama. 
 
The concept of Kaname’s artworks is “a painting that is utilisable”. Kaname scrapes and draws animals onto ceramic wares. The monochrome animals paintings make Kaname’s works highly recognisable and distinguishable.
