Miona Shimizu Kuki Hana Earring Checkered (Pierce)

The Story

Miona Shimizu, a young talented tie-dye artist from Osaka Japan.

The brand concept is the “wearable art”. “I always want to make things that enrich my life and give meaning to things that I can't see, such as the flow of time and space”, said Miona. By the traditional Japan handcraft technique she possessed, Miona brings a new form of art into life.

The art work starts from tie-dyeing a thin and transparent fabric called “Organdy”. The temperature and time of tie-dyeing must be controlled carefully to result in a specific color gradation. The dyed organdy is used to wrap glass bead of various sizes. Through heating technique, the fabric continues to maintain a three-dimensional shape even after taking out the beads, making the invisible air visible to wear.

Due to uniquely handcrafting, each product may differ a bit from one another in terms of shape and colour. Product may not exactly identical to the sample image.
