The Story
 
For 120 years since its establishment in 1899, HIROTA GLASS has been dedicated to glass manufacturing. In recent years, Hirota Glass has created its own signature style through harmonisation of European traditional glassmaking technique and Japanese artistry. 
 
Among the art collections introduced from abroad during the late Edo period, glassware featuring striking hailstone pattern known to Japanese as ARARE could often be seen. These are beautiful glass designs featuring large and small hailstone-shaped beads on the glass surface, arranged in neat rows.
