TI Dinner Spoon (k)

The Story

Designed by Takenobu Igarashi. Made in Tsubame City, Niigata, Japan.

Takenobu Igarashi attained international acclaim as a graphic designer in the mid-1970s with his architectural alphabets.  In 1994, he started his career as a sculptor. He has since produced various sculptures, which were placed in public spaces all over Japan. He is also an Emeritus Professor at Tama University of Arts in Japan.

This dinnerware series is designed with circles and straight lines in mind, such as a circular knife or bottle opener and a butterknife like a straight piece of stick. Inspite of the unusual form, it is functional and adds a fun atmosphere to the dinner table.
