uniQue x Eriko Q Brooch Green Limited Edition
The Story
Eriko is invited to create a special brooch series for uniQue. The letter "Q" is extracted as the main element in the newly brooch design.
The letter "Q" represents a form of human communication skill -- Questioning. By questioning, we explore complex ideas, to get to the truth of things, to open up issues and problems, to uncover assumptions, to analyze concepts, to distinguish what we know from what we do not know, and to follow out logical consequences of thought.
Eriko Ogata, a talented Japanese pottery artist who learned pottery at Greenwich House Pottery in New York. After graduation, she started her career as a pottery artist and created sculptures using black mud and clay. In 2013, she established the brand “eriko ogata" under her own name, and applied her exquisite pottery skills from sculpture art to everyday ceramics.
Eriko enjoys observing people, especially those who wearing hats. To Eriko, the hat is an extension of the human head. She believes imagination is running vividly in the covered mysterious space between the hat and the head. She is very curious in knowing the private world of the hatted man. These hatted men inspire her in the creation of Portrait Brooch Series.
