Black Tea Whisk

The Story

A chasen (茶筅) is used to evenly whisk the tea powder and create a thick yet fine mousse-like foamy matcha. 


Traditional Japanese bamboom tea whisk is treated as a consumable item. The black tea whisk is made of domestic synthetic resin in Fukui-ken. The tip of the whisk does not break off easily. The whisk can be disassembled which allows easy-cleaning even to the root part of the whisk.
